Granite Falls HS announces fall sports awards for 2011
Six teams earned Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) academic awards that include Outstanding Award (team GPA 3.5-4.0) for girls JV volleyball and the Distinguished Award (team GPA 3.0 – 3.49) for girls varsity volleyball, boys and girls varsity cross country, girls JV and varsity soccer.
U12 girls soccer team scores undefeated season
The Strikers, a Granite Falls U-12 Girls team took first place in their division with a 10-0 undefeated season. The girls were coached by Shaun and Ryan Murphy. From left to right: Kyra Austin, Michelle George, Hannah Rossnagle, Hannah Holman, Joslyn Harding, Rosie Bradwisch, Emily Sturgeon, Mattea Potter, Rayven Fitzhugh, Taylor Middleton, Ally Head, Dayana Diaz, Stephanie Ramirez, Sydney Sprouse and Katelyn Rose.
