Two students from GFMS to perform in Yakima

Granite Falls Middle School students Cassie Collinge and Raelene Mock have been selected to participate in the 2012 Washington Music Educators Association’s (WMEA) concert February 18 in Yakima.
The girls will join students from across Washington State to perform under the direction of outstanding music educators. All students were selected through auditions.
Collinge will play the clarinet with the band and Mock will perform with the choir.
Well-known Washingtonians who have participated in past year’s WMEA All-State groups include the Seattle Post-Intelligencer’s Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist and columnist David Horsey, and jazz saxophonist Kenny G.
