Granite Falls High School’s Jackson to participate in state concert

Granite Falls High School senior Andrew Jackson has been selected to participate in the 2012 Washington Music Educators Association’s (WMEA) concert February 16 in Yakima.

Jackson will join students from across Washington State to perform under the direction of world-renowned conductors.
All students were selected through auditions. Jackson will play the trumpet in the Wind Symphony group.

Well-known Washingtonians who have participated in past year’s WMEA All-State groups include the Seattle Post-Intelligencer’s Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist and columnist David Horsey and jazz saxophonist Kenny G.
