Chapel on The Hill has come a long way since its conception. The congregation is an orthodox church that serves the Granite Falls area.
Chapel on The Hill in Granite Falls was started in the eighties in a little brown house on Galena Street.
In 2004 the congregation moved to a store front on Stanley Street. Through donations the chapel moved out to 15 acres at 18212 Engelbretson Rd. and built a small church for their 40 members.
Pastor James Kyes began vickering at Chapel on The Hill in 2006 and was installed in 2010.
Chapel on The Hill features mid-week services at 6:30 p.m. with a soup and salad potluck before the service for attendees.
In the future Kyes and Chapel on The Hill hope to start a daycare center and open a community garden in Spring. The garden will feature 14 beds where community and congregation members alike are welcome to garden.
